Description Every day, for very long periods of time, the prisoners were forced to line up for roll call and assemblage. It was here that the prisoners were selected for work and sometimes their death. They witnessed hangings and torture, were evaluated, and generally treated like slaves. In this landscape, you can see the shadows of the other prisoners who would be standing rank and file with you in the cold pounding rain. |
